Poland EV Market Surpasses 100,000 Electric Vehicles: Charging Infrastructure Expansion

By Strong Energy Team January 23, 2026

Poland has reached a major milestone with over 100,000 battery electric vehicles registered, driving massive demand for charging infrastructure.

Poland Reaches EV Milestone

As of July 2025, Poland has registered 103,503 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), representing a 65% increase over the same period in 2024. This milestone marks Poland as one of the fastest-growing EV markets in Europe.

Market Growth Statistics

- 94,017 electric passenger cars
- 9,630 electric vans and trucks
- 94% increase in BEV registrations in 2025 vs 2024
- 102% increase in PHEV registrations

The Electric Vehicles market in Poland is projected to reach US\.8 billion in 2025, with an annual growth rate of 12.70%, resulting in a projected market volume of US\.2 billion by 2030.

Charging Infrastructure Development

Poland now has 10,730 publicly accessible charging points, with 764 along the TEN-T network. The Poland EV Charging Infrastructure Market is valued at USD 1.2 billion.

However, challenges remain:
- Less than 20% are fast DC charging points
- Public charging capacity stands at 318 MW - far below the 2,040 GW needed within five years
- Nearly half of obligated municipalities have yet to meet minimum requirements

Government Support: NaszEauto Programme

The NaszEauto incentive programme, launched in February 2025, has been a key driver of EV adoption in Poland. This has helped reverse a nearly 3% decline in registrations recorded in 2024.

Opportunities for Energy Integration

The growing EV market creates synergies with energy storage solutions:
- Home charging combined with residential ESS
- Commercial fleet charging with battery backup
- Grid services from vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology

Strong Energy offers integrated solutions combining energy storage with EV charging infrastructure for both residential and commercial applications.
